IOC eleventh season will start with "THERE AND BACK AGAIN"

Independent Opera Company begins it's eleventh season at the South Pasadena Masonic Lodge with an eclectic collection of 20th century musical works.

“There and Back Again” is a program which includes the enchanting and rarely performed “Five Duets for Soprano and Baritone” by Karl Weigl, “Piano Suite 1922” and a short staged opera “Hin und Zurück” (There and Back) by Paul Hindemith. Featured is a vocal cycle "From Jewish Folk Poetry" by Dmitri Shostakovich and a sneak peak of IOC’s upcoming production of Prokofiev’s “Love for the Three Oranges”, coming in June 2023. The program will include live music, dance and visual arts. Refreshments and wine will be provided.
